sportsmans nightSportsmen’s nights were kicked off this year on Wednesday, April 1st 2015. Bear was racking his brain for a good April fools joke to play on the group but he came up short.

We began this season studying Ephesians Chapter 5 & 6 under the direction of Guide Ralph Johnson. Ralph started Guiding with CTO last fall and experienced the excitement of being in a tree stand during a hunting situation. This season he has taken on the role of leading the bible studies at the weekly Sportsmen’s Night. He has been doing a great job by breaking the Sportsmen up into smaller groups allowing them to really go deep into the studies.

Also taking a leadership role is Guide Blake Heltsley, who has taken over activities. Blake also began guiding last fall and has brought a plethora of new activity ideas to CTO. Some of the activities the boys will and are experiencing at Sportsmen’s Night is fishing, archery, cooking, distance shooting and more as Blake continues to plan for activities for the future. If you know of a young man who has not been involved in Sportsmen’s Night you need to get them there. They are missing out!

Sportsmen’s Night is every Wednesday Evening from 6:00pm – 7:30pm at the Fluid Events Center, 601 N. Country Fair Drive, Champaign, IL 61821.
