The Eleventh Annual St. Paul Lutheran Church Wild Game Dinner, held February 7 at the New Braunfels Civic Center in New Braunfels, Texas, raised $39,000 to support youth activities and various outreach programs in the area.
The St. Paul Lutheran Church Wild Game Dinner is a family event focused on fellowship and spreading the love Jesus Christ by raising funds for organizations primarily benefiting the youth and veterans of the community. This year the Wild Game Dinner donated $6,500.00 to six organizations for a total donation of $39,000.00.
The recipients of this year’s proceeds included:
Cross Trails Outfitters – Promotes leadership through Christ to mentor underprivileged youth aged seven to twenty through outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing.
Trinity Oaks – Uses outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing to benefit veterans, unprivileged youth, terminally ill and disabled who would not normally be able to enjoy the outdoors.
Fischer House - Provides military families housing close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury.
Communities in School - Work hand in hand with schools, communities and families to surround students with a caring network of support to help them stay in school and succeed in life.
Gabriel Project® - A network of church communities throughout the United States committed to offering immediate and practical help to any woman faced with a crisis pregnancy.
St. Paul Youth – Provides financial assistance for youth outdoor ministries within St. Paul.
At this year's event, Trinity Oaks presented two motorized all terrain track wheel chairs to disabled veterans. The track wheel chairs will allow the disabled veterans to resume outdoor activities such as hunting. The dinner also included live and silent auctions, live dance music provided by rising country star Mario Flores, various drawings, great food and awesome fellowship. The dinner is known by those that regularly attend as not only having the best prepared food but also always serving wild game items that are unique. The 2016 St. Paul Wild Game Dinner will be held on Saturday February 20th.
The team at Cross Trail Outfitters is appreciative of St. Paul Lutheran's commitment to Christ and community, and their generous support of CTO Texas. If you'd like to help CTO serve more youth, you can make a financial donation here.
