Guiding the next generation since 2004

Cross Trail Outfitters was founded in 2004 with the goal of discipling and mentoring boys between the ages of 7-20. Through hunting and fishing, we equip youth with skills in the outdoors while guiding them toward Christ. Since our founding, we have expanded nation-wide, providing youth with thousands of life-changing opportunities.

All volunteers working directly with youth must complete a background check and additional training. Those who feel called to mentor youth on outings and other events should prayerfully consider becoming a Guide candidate and go through the vetting process outlined below.

  • Level I First Aid/CPR Certification

  • Hunter’s Education Certification

  • Guide Training - volunteer on several weekend outings, then complete one on your own under the supervision of a State Director. State Directors may have specific certification requirements for their state.
