Bexar County
Cross Trail Outfitters Bexar County Chapter is dedicated to guiding the next generation to Christ through the outdoors. Led by David Williams, the Bexar County Chapter provides boys with year-round opportunities for hunting and fishing adventures, hands-on outdoor skills training, and Christ-centered mentorship. Through these experiences, young men grow in character, leadership, and faith, all while forming lifelong friendships and learning the value of stewardship and brotherhood. The Bexar County Chapter is committed to preserving our outdoor heritage and equipping boys to become strong, Christ-centered leaders for their families and communities.
David Williams
David Williams grew up in south Texas and after graduating from Texas A&M, he went on to serve his country in the Navy. When his first child was born, he decided to try out shore duty instead of six month deployments and subsequently entered the arena of defense government contracting. Following 26 years employment with S.A.I.C, David moved the family back to San Antonio, Texas and began a government civilian career where he is currently managing cyber training for the US Air Force at Lackland AFB. David and his wife Ty have three (grown) kids and six grandchildren.
David had previously volunteered with Boy Scouts of America for 18 years before turning to CTO. After interviewing with Kevin Potts, David signed on in 2018 as a volunteer guide, summer camp counselor and Sportsman's Night skill instructor. He is an avid fly fisherman, Texas Revolution/Fur Trapper reenactor and competition defensive pistol and carbine shooter. When he is not playing bluegrass with friends he's looking for that next tasty recipe for venison chili.
