Busco
Cross Trail Outfitters Busco Chapter is dedicated to guiding the next generation to Christ through the outdoors. Led by Jason Thomas, the Busco Chapter provides boys with year-round opportunities for hunting and fishing adventures, hands-on outdoor skills training, and Christ-centered mentorship. Through these experiences, young men grow in character, leadership, and faith, all while forming lifelong friendships and learning the value of stewardship and brotherhood. The Busco Chapter is committed to preserving our outdoor heritage and equipping boys to become strong, Christ-centered leaders for their families and communities.
Leadership
Jason Thomas
Jason and Cathy have been married for 39 years and have been blessed with three children and five grandchildren.
After Jason retired from United Parcel Service (UPS) following 31 years of service, he and Cathy were looking forward to enjoying their part-time eBay business and spending more time with their grandchildren.
As they planned for life after 62, they dreamed of traveling around the country and enjoying the RV lifestyle. But as Jason explains, "God had other plans."
After some nudging from God—and what Jason describes as feeling like being hit with a two-by-four—he finally answered the call to start a ministry that would introduce kids to Christ through the great outdoors. That's when he discovered Cross Trail Outfitters (CTO).
Through the generosity and support of their local church, Sugar Grove Church of God, along with dedicated volunteers from the Churubusco area, a new chapter began.
Welcome to CTO Busco!
We proudly serve youth across a four-county area in northeast Indiana, using the outdoors to build relationships, teach valuable life skills, and, most importantly, share the love of Jesus Christ.
Our mission is simple:
"Building Men, Preserving Our Heritage, and Sharing Our Faith."
