Northside
Cross Trail Outfitters Northside Chapter is dedicated to guiding the next generation to Christ through the outdoors. Led by Chris Cain and Mark Knight, the Northside Chapter provides boys with year-round opportunities for hunting and fishing adventures, hands-on outdoor skills training, and Christ-centered mentorship. Through these experiences, young men grow in character, leadership, and faith, all while forming lifelong friendships and learning the value of stewardship and brotherhood. The Northside Chapter is committed to preserving our outdoor heritage and equipping boys to become strong, Christ-centered leaders for their families and communities.
Chris Cain
Chris was raised in northeastern Kansas. His free time growing up was spent playing football and enjoying the outdoors. A passion for fishing, hunting, trapping and fur harvesting was passed on to Chris from his father. He and wife his Kelsey met during their first semester of college. They have 5 children who thrive on being in God’s creation. Chris got involved with CTO in 2019, he was looking for a way to get his boys into the woods. Chris soon saw the vision of CTO and the ability to put two passions together, the Missouri outdoors and Christ. He jumped right into volunteering whenever he got the chance. When the opportunity arose to take on the responsibility of leading the Springfield Chapter Chris was excited to fill this new role.
Mark Knight
Mark Knight grew up in a Christian home as a preachers kid, where his father started new Christian Churches so he moved about every two years. He graduated from Rogers Arkansas in 1973 where he started working in construction for several years which led to working for the Missouri Department of Transportation, where he retired early in 2010. Mark has been married to Vicki for 10 years and together they have a son, two daughters, seven grandchildren and one great grandson. Mark currently has a small lawn mowing business which provides him the opportunity to pursue his love for the outdoors. Mark met CTO Missouri State Director, Kirk Bouse at his church and began volunteering for CTO in 2015. Then in January of 2018 Mark felt the call to become the new CTO Missouri Northside Chapter leader.
